The Aloha-‘Ohana Parliamentary Unit of Hawai‘i meets monthly on O‘ahu to study parliamentary procedure and to promote the educational program of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PARLIAMENTARIANS® (NAP) locally. The unit actively promotes the upgrading of members' expertise in the field of parliamentary procedure.

Some of the members of the Unit are Professional Registered Parliamentarians (see Star-Bulletin article of March 2007), but many are students of Parliamentary Procedure just beginning their study. We pride ourselves on being a warm & friendly group of people who welcome people of all backgrounds and skill levels.

"Aloha" means love, affection, and acceptance. "‘Ohana" is the Hawaiian word for family, kith & kin. We chose this name for our Unit to emphasize our inclusive and welcoming support for each other.

You are cordially invited to visit or join us. The next regular meeting will be on Tuesday evening, March 13, 2012 at 7 p.m. at the Oahu Veterans Center in Foster Village, 1298 Kukila Street Honolulu, HI 96818-1957. CLICK HERE for details and directions.

NOTE: The 11th ed. of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised, now supercedes the 10th and all previous editions of Robert's Rules of Order, Robert's Rules of Order Revised and Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised.

The new 11th edition automatically became the parliamentary authority for organizations whose bylaws or statutory authority specifies the current edition of Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised, Robert's Rules of Order Revised or Robert's Rules of Order.
