Parliamentary Procedure Class Online

April 2017

PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE:
5 sessions; 1 Continuing Education Unit.
This is an online, leadership program designed for officers and staff, particularly chairpersons and secretaries of organizations that use Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised. Learn how to properly and lawfully conduct and record business in formal meetings. Topics to include: fundamental principles, quorum, agenda, order of business, handling and precedence of motions, elections & voting, minutes; conventions and resolution writing. Limited enrollment, deadline for registration: March 28, 2017.

Instructor: Dr. Wm. Puette,Professional Registered Parliamentarian (NAP), Certified Parliamentarian (AIP).

This course will be taught entirely online.
After enrollment, prior to the first class, students will be emailed instructions for logging on to this University of Hawai‘i West O‘ahu/CLEAR online class.
Hardware Requirements: reliable, high-speed internet connection; and speaker & microphone or audio/mic ear-buds or headset.
Classes will be conducted online using the Google Chrome web browser
Required Class Text: Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised (11th ed.).

   ONLINE only
   6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

   Mondays and Wednesday
   April 5, 10, 12, 17 and 19.
   Course Fee: $50.00 (Hawai‘i resident);

                            $100.00 (out-of-state/non Hawai‘i resident)


The University of Hawai‘i's Center for Labor Education & Research at West O‘ahu is offering this non-credit course, and will award a Continuing Edcation Unit (CEU) to those who attend all 5 classes and complete the class assignments.
